Manama, Kingdom of Bahrain: Batelco by Beyon has signed an agreement with Bareeq Al Retaj Real Estate Services, establishing Batelco as a strategic technology partner across the real estate developer’s current and future developments in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

The agreement was signed during Gateway Gulf 2026 in the presence of H.E. Shaikh Abdulla bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, the Chairman of Beyon Group, and establishes a framework for the two companies to collaborate on the design and delivery of integrated technology solutions for Bareeq Al Retaj’s real estate developments.

Through the partnership, Batelco and Bareeq Al Retaj will explore opportunities to integrate advanced connectivity, Extra-Low Voltage (ELV), smart home and intelligent building solutions into residential and other real estate developments. The collaboration will bring together Batelco’s enterprise technology capabilities and Bareeq Al Retaj’s real estate expertise to support the development of increasingly connected, efficient, and digitally enabled properties.

The agreement provides a framework for joint solution design and the development of technology propositions tailored to the requirements of individual developments. Specific solutions and implementation requirements will be agreed separately for each project.

Speaking on the occasion, Maitham Abdulla, Chief Executive Officer of Batelco by Beyon, said: “Technology is becoming an increasingly important part of how modern developments are designed, built and experienced. Our agreement with Bareeq Al Retaj gives us the opportunity to bring Batelco’s connectivity and digital infrastructure capabilities into the development process from an early stage, enabling technology to be considered as an integral part of each project rather than as an add-on later.”

He added: “This collaboration also reflects the continued evolution of Batelco’s enterprise offering as we expand beyond traditional connectivity to deliver integrated technology solutions that support smarter buildings, homes and communities across Bahrain.”

Ayoob Ali Alawadhi, Acting Chief Executive Officer and Board Member of Bareeq Al Retaj, said: “As expectations around modern real estate continue to evolve, technology has become an important consideration in creating developments that are efficient, connected and designed around the needs of their occupants. Through our collaboration with Batelco by Beyon, we will be able to explore integrated technology solutions across our developments and consider how connectivity, smart home and intelligent building capabilities can enhance the overall experience we provide.”

The strategic agreement will run for an initial period of two years, providing a framework through which Batelco and Bareeq Al Retaj can identify relevant opportunities and develop technology solutions according to the requirements of individual projects.
