Manama, Bahrain: Beyon has awarded a comprehensive four-year scholarship to Mohammed Al-Daqaq under its annual scholarship programme which provides one outstanding student from a government school in the Kingdom with the opportunity to pursue undergraduate studies at the American University of Bahrain (AUBH).

Candidates are selected based on academic achievement, merit, and other set criteria, reflecting Beyon’s commitment to advancing its corporate social responsibility and supporting higher education opportunities for Bahraini youth.

This initiative reflects the ongoing strategic partnership between Beyon and the American University of Bahrain (AUBH), with the fifth student now selected under the program which has been running for the past five consecutive years. The scholarship enables the recipient to pursue studies in a rigorous academic environment that encourages creativity, innovation, and critical thinking at the Kingdom’s first American-style university.

Mohammed Al-Daqaq from Nasser Centre for Science and Technology was awarded the scholarship after successfully completing a series of evaluations approved by both the American University of Bahrain and Beyon, which form an integral part of the selection process. The scholarship was officially presented at the Beyon campus in Hamala by Beyon CEO Andrew Kvaalseth, with the attendance of Beyon Chief Communications & Sustainability Officer Shaikh Bader bin Rashid Al Khalifa, Beyon Sustainability Specialist Lulwa Almerbati, AUBH Chief Operating Officer William D. Hurt and AUBH Dean of Students Dr. Amal Al-Awadhi.

Mr. William D. Dr. Amal Alawadhi also congratulated Mohammed, expressing confidence in his ability to make valuable contributions to the AUBH community.
