Manama, Bahrain: Beyon announced the establishment of its second fully green solar-powered Data Center with the successful completion of Phase 3 of the Beyon Solar Park developed in partnership with Almoayyed Solar.  The milestone, which was announced in the presence of H.E. Shaikh Abdulla bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Beyon Group, underscores Beyon’s continued progress in renewable energy adoption and reinforces its commitment to sustainable, net-zero digital infrastructure. The announcement made during Gateway Gulf 2025, follows the parties renewed collaboration to advance clean energy initiatives and sets the stage for Phase 4 of Beyon Solar Park.

With an investment of BD520,000, Phase 3 of Beyon’s Solar Park now powers the company’s Tier III Certified Data Center in Hamala with 100% renewable energy, making it one of the few fully green data centers in the region. The large scale on-grid solar system spans over 13,000 m² and features 2,588 high-efficiency solar panels, generating approximately 2.5 GWh of clean energy annually and reducing carbon emissions by 1,777 tons of CO₂ each year. The installation also includes robotic dry-cleaning systems, eliminating the need for water-based maintenance and enhancing operational efficiency.

The green data centre supports customers who are driving their own net zero and ESG strategies. By powering the facility entirely with clean solar energy, Beyon is enabling their customers to directly reduce their carbon footprint and align their digital operations with global sustainability standards. In addition to its environmental impact, the new infrastructure enhances overall energy resilience, offering an additional layer of redundant power alongside existing generator and EWA feeds. This ensures continuous, reliable uptime for mission-critical systems, while empowering businesses to scale sustainably and confidently.

Commenting on the ongoing partnership, Beyon CEO Andrew Kvaalseth said, “Our collaboration with Almoayyed Solar reflects Beyon’s long-term commitment to sustainability and innovation. With the completion of Phase 3 of our Solar Parks, we have taken a major step forward in translating that commitment into tangible impact, powering our operations with clean energy, enhancing efficiency, and supporting the Kingdom of Bahrain’s national sustainability agenda.”

Chairman of Almoayyed International Group Mohammed Almoayyed, added, “Working with Beyon has been a model of private-sector collaboration driving renewable energy adoption. Together, we’ve delivered cutting-edge solar infrastructure and are excited to build on this success in the next stage of our partnership.”

The ongoing partnership between Beyon and Almoayyed Solar underscores Beyon’s broader sustainability vision and continued investment in renewable technologies, supporting Bahrain’s transition toward a greener, more sustainable economy.
