Manama, Bahrain: Beyon Board of Directors has announced the appointment of Reem Altajer as Beyon CFO succeeding Mr. Faisal Qamhiyah, following the meeting of the board of directors on Tuesday, May 9 at Beyon’s campus in Hamala.
Mrs. Reem Altajer joined Batelco, part of the Beyon Group in 2004, and during her tenure she gained extensive experience, holding many leadership positions, including most recently the role of General Manager Finance since 2022. Prior to joining Batelco, Reem worked with Ernst & Young as an external auditor.
This appointment reflects the company’s strategy for nurturing Bahraini talents and succession planning, and during the past four years has escalated its investment in developing leaders and identifying highly qualified team members, providing them with the relevant skills and experience for their current and future jobs, to ensure continuity of leadership for key positions in the company. It is worth noting that the percentage of women working in Beyon is 32% as of 2022.
