Beyon, the parent company of Batelco and the Beyon digital companies, organised a number of sports activities for team members in celebration of Bahrain Sports Day. The 2-day activities which were held at Beyon’s campus in Hamala, included a Padel Tournament and a variety of fitness sessions.
All activities took place at ‘Centraal’ the Company’s recently renovated sports and leisure complex which features a wide range of top-class facilities, including two new Padel Courts.
Commenting on the event, Beyon Chief Communications & Sustainability Officer, Shaikh Bader bin Rashed Al Khalifa, said:” Beyon focusses on employee welfare and on fostering a healthy environment within the organisation, which impacts on the productivity of work and the overall wellbeing of individuals. As keen supporters of Bahrain’s annual Sports Day, we organized fun activities that would suit all fitness levels to encourage wide participation, while giving everyone the chance to socialise with their colleagues outside formal settings.”
“By arranging activities over a two-day period, it enabled team members to take the time to participate during working hours, without disrupting the workflow,” he added.
Following an exciting day of knock out rounds the winners Ali Al Deilami, and Ali Al Attar claimed the 1st prizes in the Padel tournament with Mohamed Al Raees, and Ali Abdulhusain, placed second. Both teams were presented with valuable prizes.
